Ridley Scott to Direct Aliens Prequel

It looks like Ridley Scott is returning to the franchise that made him famous.

Variety has confirmed that 20th Century Fox will keep the Alien series alive with a prequel that will be directed by Scott, who was behind the camera for the original.

Jon Spaihts will write the prequel.

    I'm not the least bit upset about this news. I didn't see the need for a peuqrel and the thought of getting an original science fiction story is much more exciting to me.-Tracy
