Funny People Make People Laugh at the Box Office

For at least a couple days, movie goes chose to laugh instead of cower in fear of Lord Voldemort.

The Judd Apatow-directed Funny People nabbed the top spot at the box office, beating out a certain boy wizard and a certain, stupid romantic comedy. The complete top five is below:

1. Funny People: $23.4 million
2. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince: $17.7 million
3. G-Force: $17 million
4. The Ugly Truth: $13 million
5. Aliens in the Attic: $7.8 million
