Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are Hilarious in the Teaser Trailer for The Other Guys!

The Other Guys follows Detective Allen Gamble (Ferrell), a forensic accountant who's more interested in paperwork than hitting the streets, and Detective Terry Hoitz (Wahlberg), who has been stuck with Allen as his partner ever since an embarrassing public incident with his quick trigger finger. Allen and Terry idolize the city's top cops, Danson and Manzetti (Johnson and Jackson), but when an opportunity arises for the Other Guys to step up, things don't quite go as planned.
The Other Guys looks good for several reasons, most importantly that it seems to have quite a few genuine laughs. Will Ferrell is back to being a quirky and zany caricature, but it works well when paired with Wahlberg, who gets to be boisterous and ridiculous as well, which actually works for him here. I don't know about you guys, but I was really tired of the "serious" Marky Mark after Max Payne put me to sleep. What's more is that the film seems to be touting The Rock's return to manly roles, not the emasculated Tooth Fairy-esque kids fair he's been involved in lately. Not enough you say? How about pairing him up with Samuel L. Jackson? Kick-ass!

So let's see if I have this straight: dzones of people who LIVE in Bristol continually bash the crap out of the city, its leaders, its businesses, its downtown, etc., on this blog and, for the most part, everyone else pretty much goes along with it (and piles on), while some movie actor/celebrity makes a one-time (admittedly lame) joke about Bristol and suddenly this guy's the devil's spawn for saying something negative about our fair community.You people are friggin' nuts.
