Could Darren Aronofsky Be the Next Superman Director?

Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky has entered the running to helm the Christopher Nolan-produced reboot of Superman, The Man of Steel. Heat Vision is reporting that Aronofsky is in "active talks" with Warner Bros.

The short list of considered directors also includes Duncan Jones, Jonathan Liebesman, Matt Reeves, Tony Scott and Zack Snyder. Heat Vision also reports that Ben Affleck was on the list, but has since stopped pursuing the job. The Man of Steel is on track for a 2012 release.
