Sometimes, the best way to weather controversy is to laugh at yourself. Tom Cruise did it with great success in Tropic Thunder, so why can't Mel Gibson get away with a cheeky cameo in The Hangover 2?
The New York Post's Page Six reports that Gibson has signed on to appear as a tattoo artist in Todd Philips' sequel to his 2009 hit The Hangover:
The troubled star, who was dropped by the William Morris Endeavor agency in July and has also faced allegations that he assaulted and made threats against his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, has signed to play a Bangkok tattooist in the highly anticipated comedy.
What do you think? Are you ready to give Mel Gibson a shot at redemption? Or will this just make The Hangover 2 less funny?
