Blake Edwards, Director of The Pink Panther, Dies at 88
by Rupert Pupkin at .The Associated Press has confirmed that legendary director, writer and producer Blake Edwards has passed away at the age of 88. Edwards died last night in Santa Monica from complications of pneumonia.

While best known for the original Pink Panther films starring PeterSellers, Edwards was responsible for many classic films, such as Breakfast at Tiffany's, Days of Wine and Roses and the scathing Hollywood satire, S.O.B. He is survived by his wife, actress Julie Andrews, and five children.
