After years of uncertainty and delays, James Cameron's Sanctum is finally headed to theaters. Universal has released two clips to get the buzz going about the film that's set to hit theaters next week.
Sanctum is loosely based on the experiences of Australian explorer Andrew Wright as he explores underwater caves in the ocean. He becomes trapped in the caves after flash flooding.
The explorer survived and co-wrote the script, which focuses on a diver (Richard Roxburgh) as he heads up an expedition to explore caves in the South Pacific. As shown in the clips, it's not an easy journey and the team experiences some danger and excitement along the way.
Sanctum, produced by Cameron and directed by Alister Grierson, will be in theaters on February 4, 2011.
