Katie Holmes looked better than ever as she walked the red carpet at the Don't Be Afraid of the Dark premiere. Holmes took time to pose for pictures, but didn't spend much time talking to the press at the premiere of her new horror flick.
Movie Fanatic was on-hand and we got a peek at the star in her gorgeous navy blue dress.
We also got a chance to talk to the star of the film, 11-year-old Bailee Madison (Just Go With It). The young actress talked to us about what it was like to do a horror film after focusing on family films and comedies.
You might remember her as Jennifer Aniston's daughter in the comedy Just Go With It from earlier this year, where she sported quite an impressive British accent for most of the film - she really stole the show!
Now, she's starring in the upcoming horror film Don't Be Afraid of the Dark presented by Guillermo del Toro and co-starring Katie Holmes.
Always the professional, she told us why she decided to venture into horror, saying "It was exciting for me. It was a new journey and a new experience and a brand new character."
So is it actually scary to shoot a "scary" movie?
"The set was literally - you thought you were that character," she explains, "so when I put on the wardrobe, went though hair and makeup, and entered the set, everything was kind of scary."
We also got a chance to talk to director Troy Nixey who had nothing but amazing things to say about writer/producer del Toro and his "dark fantasy" film.
"It's an incredible script. It's a great dark fantasy movie with these great characters, super scary. It's really everything you want to be able to tell in a story.
