Javier Bardem: Cast as Bad Guy in James Bond 23
by Joel D Amos at .Oscar winner Javier Bardem has been confirmed to be the villain in the as yet untitled James Bond 23. We say "as yet untitled," but we believe Bond 23 will be called Skyfall, but that's another story.

The man who brought villainy to new heights in No Country for Old Men is a perfect choice to be a foil to Daniel Craig's James Bond. Bardem went on Nightline and dished what little details he could last night. "I am very excited," he said. "My parents took me to watch the movies, and saw all of them. That's fine Javier, just the fact that the Bond movie is coming together, with a maybe title, screenwriters John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade and an Oscar-winning director in Sam Mendes, Movie Fanatic is thrilled. It was just several months ago when fans were even wondering if we'd ever see James Bond in action again as MGM ran through its financial troubles.
Good news indeed, all around.
