As we previously reported, those that see Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol in IMAX will get a Dark Knight Rises prologue. Now, word has arisen that the second trailer for Dark Knight Rises from Christopher Nolan will debut before the Sherlock Holmes sequel, Game of Shadows (check out the Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows trailer while we're on the subject!).

Why does this work? Well, two reasons. The first is when the first Sherlock Holmes arrived on screens, one of the pre-show trailers was Inception -- you know, that other Nolan film. Secondly, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and The Dark Knight Rises are both from Warner Bros. How’s that for synergy?
