Following a teasing glimpse at The Hunger Games in this video, Lionsgate has released the first official full-length trailer for the March 23 release - and it's every bit as awesome as you might expect.
We start in the woods with Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss and Liam Hemsworth's Gale hunting. We're then taken to The Reaping and watch in horror as Effie (Elizabeth Banks) selects the name Primrose Everdeen... and the real action begins. Enjoy your first looks now at Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, Donald Sutherland as President Snow, Lenny Kravitz as Cinna and so much more. The countdown is on. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Ooooh this is so ecitxing! I think it's going to be great. I was unsure about Jennifer Lawrence at first, thinking she was too old for the part, but actually it works perfectly to have the kids be older in the movie than they are in the books. As to your point, it's brutal enough to watch kids battling it out on the big screen so it makes sense this way.
