Thor 2 Loses its Director: Who Should Step Up?
by Joel D Amos at .Patty Jenkins, we hardly knew ya! Thor 2 director Patty Jenkins has left the Thor sequel before filming even got started. We were thrilled that Marvel had hired a rarity in superhero movies, a female director, but unfortunately it looks like Jenkins had creative differences with the studio and has completely resigned from Thor 2.
Thor 2 is due in theaters July 26, 2013 and considering the amount of special effects work it takes to bring it to the screen, someone better step up and direct this thing ASAP.
Who do you think should helm Thor 2?

Where's the hate for this woman cinomg from? A huge downgrade from Ken Branaugh? An Atom Egoyan joke, for God's sake? All Jenkins has ever done is good directing. (When an actor gets a lead role Oscar, some credit has to go to the person who shaped that performance, both on the set and in the editing room.) And frankly, hasn't Marvel proven that they know how to creatively guide a superhero movie? (They NEVER would have made Green Lantern. ) Before the flack comments come in, I have no connection to either Marvel or Jenkins (I met her once, for a few minutes, during the making of MONSTER). Give them both the benefit of the doubt.
