Breaking Dawn Passes $700 Million
by Joel D Amos at .Lionsgate is on to something when the studio’s president stated that he wanted to see more Twilight movies. Breaking Dawn Part 1 just went past the $700 million mark, easily making it the most successful Twilight movie yet. New Moon banked $709.8 million and Breaking Dawn should easily surpass that in the coming days.

The film debuted November 18, 2011 and has seriously impressed at the box office. “The milestone is important on several fronts and illustrates the vitality of the franchise on a global scale even after four films. Stephenie Meyer’s story and characters were brought to the screen this time via the talented hands of Bill Condon along with the cast and crew that has been with the film franchise since its inception,” Lionsgate head Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger said in a statement. “We are very proud of the success the franchise has experienced and anticipate the saga’s conclusion this November.”
November 16 may seem like ages away for Breaking Dawn Part 2, especially for fans that have made Part 1 of the film series' finale such a runaway smash.
