Demi Moore is ready to fight for the rights of women.
The actress has been cast in Lovelace - an upcoming biopic of Deep Throat actress Linda Lovelace, who will be played by Amanda Seyfried - as feminist icon Gloria Steinem. The now-77-year old founded Ms. magazine and was one of the more vocal opponents of pornography in the 1970s.
The film's cast also includes James Franco as Hugh Hefner, along with Peter Sarsgaard as Steinem's husband and Hank Azaria as Jerry Damiano, the director of Deep Throat.
A journalist, Steinem penned a profile of Lovelace for her publication, explaining how the porn star was beaten and forced into making the famous adult movie on which this film is based.
Look for Lovelace to hit theaters in late 2012.
