John Carter, from Disney, is set to be released March 9 and the studio has premiered a new 30-second teaser to get audiences even more thrilled about the journey to Mars.

The classic novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs comes to the big screen with John Carter and follows a Civil War hero who is mysteriously transported to Mars. When he awakes (as we see in the above clip), Carter quickly realizes he is not in Kansas anymore.

Taylor Kitsch (Friday Night Lights) is Carter and he is joined by a stellar cast including Willem Dafoe, Mark Strong, Samantha Morton, Lynn Collins, Ciaran Hinds, Polly Walker, Bryan Cranston and Thomas Haden Church.
