It's Official: Gary Ross Out as Catching Fire Director

As Movie Fanatic reported last week, Gary Ross is out as director to the follow-up of The Hunger Games, Catching Fire. There were rumors all over the place early this week that stated that Ross was actually still in negotiations with Lionsgate to return. But, sad news THG fans, it is official: Ross has removed himself from the franchise. The director had tried to reconcile the differences with the studios and return, but they never got the deal done and the director released a statement below giving his side of the story.
