One of the biggest question marks for the upcoming Anchorman sequel was Christina Applegate. Her TV show Up All Night has been renewed, and she was noticeably absent from the recent Anchorman 2 trailer. Well, turn that hesitant question mark into a big ol' exclamation point.

Writer/Director Adam McKay offered the following story hint on this week's episode of the podcast Improv 4 Humans: "Betrayal from [Veronica] Corningstone." Then, David Koechner told E! that Applegate will be returning. Finally, Applegate's reps confirmed her involvement.

So prepare yourselves for a full-on Anchorman reunion! Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Koechner and Applegate will all be returning. The script is still being written, so we have no story details apart from McKay's small hint, but whether Corningstone remains a part of the Channel 4 News team or not, there were certainly be some betrayal in there somewhere.
