The first trailer for Ang Lee's Life of Pi has dropped, and it's stunning. The film is based on the best-selling novel of the same name, by Yann Martel. Take a look:

Life of Pi tells the story of a young man named Pi who endures a shipwreck, but ends up on a boat in the middle of the ocean with a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan, and a Bengal tiger.

Suraj Sharma plays Pi, with Tobey Maguire and Gerard Depardieu also starring. Maguire will also star later this year in The Great Gatsby.

Lee is known for such films as the Oscar-winning Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Brokeback Mountain. Check out some Brokeback Mountain quotes here.
