Following a few months of rumors surrounding the English singer's involvement with the latest Bond movie, Showbiz 411 confirms that Adele will indeed perform the theme song for Skyfall.

The theme is also reported to be written by Adele. The singer joins the ranks of Shirley Bassey, Nancy Sinatra, Carly Simon, Paul McCartney, Duran Duran, and more.

The three most iconic parts of any Bond film--the actor playing Bond, the Bond girls, and the Bond theme--are now all in place for Skyfall. Daniel Craig takes on the role for the third time, with Berenice Marlohe, Naomie Harris, Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem, and Ben Whishaw (Cloud Atlas) joining on.
