Need For Speed Proceeds to Add Leads: Dominic Cooper to Join Cast

Dominic Cooper is in negotiation to join the cast of Need For Speed. Cooper joins Imogen Poots and Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad, Smashed) in the upcoming film.

Need For Speed is an adaptation of the popular racing video game series. How can you adapt a racing game into a film, you ask? Well, it won't just be a bunch of cars driving around. Paul and Cooper will play garage owners who modify cars, with Paul's character seeking revenge on the person who framed him and killed his best friend.

Cooper has made a name for himself in blockbuster action films these last couple of years, appearing in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger, and this year's Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

Need For Speed is slated for a February 7, 2014 release date.
