Some die-hard Les Miserables fans may be distressed to learn about a new original song, titled Suddenly, written for the film. But director Tom Hooper and composer Claude-Michel Schonberg (who composed the original book for the stage) take the time to explain exactly why they did it in a new featurette. Watch it, followed by another featurette about the set design:
Hugh Jackman (Rise of the Guardians) stars as Jean Valjean, a paroled French prisoner on the run from Inspector Javert, played by Russell Crowe (Man of Steel). Anne Hathaway plays Fantine, with Amanda Seyfried as Cosette.
Eddie Redmayne, Samantha Barks, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Helena Bonham Carter also star.
Les Miserables opens Christmas Day. What do you think of the new song? Let us know in the comments section below!
