The new military drama Allegiance has given Movie Fanatic an exclusive clip that takes our readers further into the stellar film that explores some serious moral ambiguities.
As we stated in our Allegiance review, the story follows a National Guard soldier (Bow Wow) who -- as his unit is set to be shipped off to Iraq in 2004 (the most violent year of that war) -- discovers his son only has weeks to live. Because he is a medic of such outstanding skills, his superiors let him know that he has been denied a compassionate transfer to a unit that is not shipping out to war so he can be near his son. They need him in the field of battle.
Seth Gabel is Lietanant Danny Sefton, someone who has been given a suspicious transfer of his own on the eve of war. When his guilt is played upon, Sefton is sucked into an effort to get Bow Wow's Specialist Chris Hayes AWOL so he can be with his son in his final moments on earth. Our exclusive clip shows what happens when all hell breaks loose as the AWOL effort starts to go awry... the chase is on!
