Tommy Lee Jones (Lincoln) stars in his second historical drama in a row, this time playing General Douglas MacArthur, who is acting as the commander of the Allied forces in the immediate aftermath to World War II. MacArthur's charge? To win the peace in war-torn Japan.

Matthew Fox also stars, along with Eriko Hatsune and Toshiyuki Nishida. Peter Webber (Hannibal Rising) directs. Emperor opens March 8.
