Pacific Rim has a new trailer! It delivers on everything the film has been promising: mainly monsters and robots. Check it out:

Idris Elba (Thor: The Dark World) steals the show in this trailer, as Stacker Pentecost, a Lieutenant Commander in the war against the undersea monsters. The film follows a retired pilot played by Charlie Hunnam and a young trainee played by Rinko Kikuchi, as they resurrect an old robot and become the last hope to save humanity.

Charlie Day, Robert Kazinsky, Max Martini, and Ron Perlman (Drive) also star. Guillermo Del Toro, who recently revealed that he turned down the job for Star Wars Episode VII director, helms the production.

Pacific Rim will hit theaters July 12.
