Teresa Palmer got to live an actress' dream with Warm Bodies. The film, that is loosely based on Romeo and Juliet, found her character Julie having a stand on the balcony moment right out of the iconic Shakespeare play, calling out to her own Romeo. In this case, Romeo is "R," and he's a zombie that she has fallen for who might hold the key to curing all those infected by the zombie apocalypse.
"I have to say, it was very surreal," Palmer said in our exclusive video interview. "One of my favorite movies of all time is the Baz Luhrmann version of Romeo and Juliet. To be part of a movie where we pay homage to that -- and especially that scene in particular -- is a dream!"
The story of a woman (Palmer) and the zombie who loves her (check out our Nicholas Hoult exclusive interview!), as teased in the Warm Bodies trailer, hits theaters February 1 and is the most unique take on the zombie genre we've seen in some time.
Palmer also spoke about a role that is close to our heart. She killed it as Number Six in I Am Number Four and seeing as the book that the film is based on spawned a sequel called The Power of Six, we wanted to know if she would return to the role for more butt-kicking.
"I would love to play Six again," Palmer said and smiled. "I fell in love with her. She's such a little warrior. But, as of right now, there are no plans for a sequel."
We need to work on that.
