In a sneaky bit of sleuthing, BleedingCool is reporting that John C. Reilly will be making an appearance in Anchorman 2.

How did they figure this out? Well, the site got ahold of an urgent, short-notice casting call looking for John C. Reilly look-alikes in Atlanta, where the film is beginning production. The call wasn't directly associated with Anchorman 2, but since Will Ferrell, writer/director Adam McKay, and Reilly are friends and collaborators, it's safe to assume that's what it's for.

There is no word on what Reilly's role will be, or what the double will be used for (likely just a stand-in, but perhaps a gag?). Reilly joins returning stars Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, and Christina Applegate, as well as fellow newcomers Kristen Wiig (who launched her film career with some brilliant Bridesmaids quotes) and James Marsden.
