What looks like Tyler Perry's version of Meet the Parents, Peeples is a new comedy starring Craig Robinson and David Alan Grier. Check out the first trailer below:

Robinson (who's comic sensibilities are evidenced in these Hot Tub Time Machine quotes) plays Wade Walker, a regular guy who joins his girlfriend's preppy family in the Hamptons to ask her father for permission to marry her. Kerry Washington (Django Unchained) plays his girlfriend, Grace Peeples, with Grier as her father.

Tina Gordon Chism directs the film, which hits theaters May 10. Tyler Perry produces.
