Star Wars Franchise:
George Lucas exposed the world to a “galaxy far, far away” in 1977 and the universe has never been the same since. Lucas helped define the word franchise, which has only gained momentum since Disney bought LucasFilm and it was announced that J.J. Abrams will direct Star Wars Episode VII.
The story of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, R2D2, C3PO, Darth Vader, Han Solo and his Wookie Chewbacca and their classic good versus evil tale has captured generations since it first premiered. The first three films are considered the better half of the franchise, with Empire Strikes Back our personal favorite. A younger generation likes Episodes I-III, and that’s just it. Star Wars speaks to everyone in some capacity in a universality that we have never seen since and will likely not see again. Head to our Star Wars quotes page for more.
While there are a lot of horror franchises to choose from, Scream is one of the most consistently good. Like the majority of franchises, the first one is definitely the most beloved, having almost single-handedly reinvigorated the horror genre. But Scream 2 was an excellent followup to one of the best horror movies ever made. The franchise follows the notorious "Ghostface" persona, and subsequent copy-cat killers, who target Sidney Prescott, played by Neve Campbell. And if you liked the first four movies, stay tuned, because rumor has it a fifth is in the works! In the meantime, check out some Scream franchise quotes.
