Lily Collins stars as the unpronounceable Clary Fray, a girl whose mother is kidnapped by a man in search of the Mortal Cup. In order to find her, Clary solicits the help of a group of half-angel half-humans called Shadowhunters.

Lena Headey, Aiden Turner (The Hobbit), Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Jamie Campbell Bower, Jared Harris, Robert Sheehan, Kevin Durand, and Jemima West also star.

Harald Zwart directs the young adult adaptation, which premieres August 23.
