The Wizard of Oz IMAX 3D Trailer: Yellow Brick Road in Three Dimensions!

by at .  Updated at . Comments

As Movie Fanatic previously reported, The Wizard of Oz is returning to theaters in IMAX 3D. Judy Garland will be riding down that Yellow Brick Road like never before... popping off the screen in vibrant IMAX, 3D and a color restoration unlike any other.

Victor Fleming's 1939 iconic film The Wizard of Oz is celebrating its 75th anniversary by allowing audiences to see it in theaters... as it was meant to be experienced. A preview of that thrill is captured in this first trailer.

Following the one-week run that begins September 20, Warner Bros. will be releasing a 75th anniversary edition of the classic The Wizard of Oz in a five-disc box set on October 1, with one disc being for 3D televisions. This is definitely not Kansas anymore!

The Wizard of Oz Quotes

Dorothy: Goodbye, Tinman. Oh, don't cry! You'll rust so dreadfully. Here's your oil can.
Tin Woodsman: Now I know I've got a heart, 'cause it's breaking...
Dorothy: Goodbye, Lion. I know it isn't right, but I'm going to miss the way you used to hollar for help before you found your courage.
Cowardly Lion: I never would've found it if it hadn't been for you...
Dorothy: [to Scarecrow] I think I'm going to miss you most of all.

Tin Woodsman: What have you learned, Dorothy?
Dorothy: Well, I - I think that it - it wasn't enough to just want to see Uncle Henry and Auntie Em - and it's that - if I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own back yard. Because if it isn't there, I never really lost it to begin with! Is that right?
