Harrison Ford has been traveling the globe promoting his latest thriller, teased in the Paranoia trailer, and he said something interesting about the character Indiana Jones to The Telegraph that has sent shockwaves throughout the world.
"We've seen the character develop and grow over a period of time and it's perfectly appropriate and okay for him to come back again with a great movie around him where he doesn't necessarily have to kick as much ass. To me, what was interesting about the character was that he prevailed, that he had courage, that he had wit, that he had intelligence, that he was frightened and that he still managed to survive,” Ford said.
“That I can do."
Wait, what?! Does that mean we can expect to see Indiana Jones back in action… well at least some action?
It appears that Disney buying Lucasfilm not only had an effect on the world of Star Wars with the announcement of Star Wars Episode VII, but also the world of Indiana Jones. That is a side effect we did not see coming.
Sure, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull left a lot to be desired. But, there is no arguing that Ford and his cinematic charisma have not faded one bit. And to see him adorn that iconic fedora once again in a story that really works is something to get truly excited about.
Perhaps he knows that the people at Disney would never let Indy come back without a solid story. Look what they did with The Avengers and the Marvel world!
