Despicable Me 2 DVD Announced: Minion Movie Preview!

by at .  Updated at . Comments

Despicable Me 2 will land on December 10 on DVD, Blu-Ray and Digital HD, and among the bonus features (detailed below) are three new Mini-Movies featuring our favorite characters from the series: The Minions! Fresh off the announcement that the Minions will get their own movie, we get a preview of sorts of what to expect with the following clip from one of those three Mini-Movies, Panic in the Mailroom.

As seen in the Despicable Me 2 trailer, Gru (Steve Carell) is back and trying to adjust to life without being one of the world’s greatest villains. See, he has adopted those three adorable little girls and he’s trying to be the best dad he can be. Kristen Wiig’s character Lucy arrives and recruits him to work for the good guys as a new villain has emerged that threatens the entire world. Who better to catch a villain than a former villain?

It’s probably pretty clear we adored the film from our Despicable Me 2 review, and so did audiences. It went on to become the year’s biggest comedy, with over $863 million in box office. It comes home on DVD and Blu-Ray December 10 chock full of incredible extras, deleted scenes and an even closer look at the “evil” Minions. Wait, what? If you haven’t seen the movie, you’ll have to in order to see what that means!
