We caught up with Delivery Man star Chris Pratt and had to start with the incredible string of life dream-achieving moments on screen he’s had of late. As shown in the Delivery Man trailer, he’s a lawyer with the hugest of cases representing Vince Vaughn’s character. Vaughn’s being sued by hundreds of his “children” who demand he reveal his identity to them after it is learned that his donations were the only ones used at a fertility clinic.
This is after Pratt scored the role of the man who hit the game-winning home run to clinch the Oakland A’s world record for consecutive wins in Moneyball. What is left, we ask Pratt in our exclusive video interview? He hilariously lists off his other roles that are life dream moments and it turns out, he wanted to give a Braveheart-type speech rallying the troops. From his answer, we’re gleaning he achieved that in his upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy!
“I want to be a heavy bad guy who takes someone’s life and looks them in the eye as their life extinguishes. I want to take someone and put them in my cop car and say, ‘Watch your head,’” he said and laughed. “What’s left?”
Check out the video and see!
Pratt also lets us in on who his favorite movie or TV lawyers are (his Law and Order rant is hysterical!), while also talking about how it is working on a movie like Delivery Man versus an effects-heavy film such as Guardians of the Galaxy, where much of the work is still to come on computers.
Delivery Man also stars Cobie Smulders and hits theaters November 22.
