Peter Jackson has given a true gift to fans of his Middle Earth adventures by releasing over three minutes of footage to his upcoming The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug! You think you’ve seen some impressive footage in that The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug trailer, think again.
Clocking in at just over three minutes, the sneak peek from Warner Bros. and Jackson not only gives us more footage to look at than ever before, but also some serious dialogue that gives extraordinary weight to the adventure of the dwarves, Gandalf, Bilbo, Legolas and Tauriel.
And that music! The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings have always felt quite operatic and it's only fitting that Jackson uses that genre to score his three-minute footage reveal to fans.
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug arrives in 3D on December 13… Merry Christmas, indeed.
