When hearing that Paul Walker died, this reporter only had to think back a few days to the last time I saw him. Walker met Movie Fanatic for an exclusive video interview to discuss what was his greatest performance to date in Hours.
As seen in the Hours trailer, Walker portrays a man stranded at a New Orleans hospital as Hurricane Katrina hits. His wife has just died in delivery and his baby was born a month early. As the power goes out, he must struggle to keep her alive… no matter what it takes.
It is a haunting performance and sad that it will be one of his last, especially with the future of Fast and Furious 7 still up in the air.
What haunts us the most is his answer to our final question where we asked the late actor where the making of Hours sits for him among his life experiences. “Number two… maybe even number one,” he said.
Knowing that that would be his final answer about a life filled with success and joy is truly the saddest closing of an interview Movie Fanatic has ever had. Make sure to see Hours when it arrives December 13.
