Princess Leia is the twin sister of Luke Skywalker and the daughter of Padme Amidala and Anakin Skywalker.  In A New Hope, Princess Leia is rescued by Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and everyone's favorite droids R2-D2.

In The Empire Strikes Back, Leia helps witht he evacuation on Hoth.

In Return of the Jedi, Leia is prisoner of Jabba the Hutt and features the infamous scene of Leia in a metal bikini that kept nerds happy for a long time.
