Johnny Depp is set to take on the role of a blood sucker, as the actor has confirmed a big screen adaptation of the hit 1960s TV series Dark Shadows.
The Gothic soap opera aired weekdays on ABC from 1966 to 1971. Depp will play the key character of Barnabas Collins in the movie version of the drama.
"I was obsessed with the character as a child. It triggered my earliest desire to become an actor," Depp told Great Britain's The Daily Express.
Reportedly, Depp and Tim Burton will come out with at least three Dark Shadows movies, the first of which will be released late next year.
