And he's none too happy about it, either.
Coming from CBS Films January 22, Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser star in Extraordinary Measures, a glossed-up, tug-at-your-heart-strings Hallmark-type movie based on a true story.
Brendan Fraser and Keri Russel play John and Aileen Crowley, whose children have been diagnosed with a rare disease and are given only months to live. Not one to give up so easily, John seeks out a researcher to find a cure and save his children. Enter Dr. Robert Stonehill (Harrison Ford), an eccentric and crabby scientist who just might have the answer to Crowley's problems.
Ford not only stars, but also executive produces the film, and it looks like his marquee-quality name is the only thing that elevated the project from a made-for-tv disease drama that would otherwise be relegated to afternoon showings on Lifetime. Yes, the movie looks to be quite saccharine and promises oodles of tear-jerking, but it also promises some glorious over-the-top acting. Ford's growling of the line "I already work around the clock!" has hit the top of my short list of funny quotes of 2010.
