The bumbling Griswold family will be making another Vacation trip soon, courtesy of New Line.
Variety reports that New Line is looking to writers Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley to pen the new film, which will center around Rusty Griswold, who is now a grown man, as he decides to take his family on a trip to Wally World before it closes forever. Chevy Chase, who appears in the upcoming Hot Tub Time Machine, and Beverly D'Angelo will be reprising their roles from the previous Vacation films, now grandparents.
The new film won't carry the familiar National Lampoon banner, and will be produced by David Dobkin, of Wedding Crashers fame.
Chase and D'Angelo recently stepped back into characters Clark and Ellen Griswold in a 14-minute short film called Hotel Hell, which was produced for HomeAway and promoted during this year's Super Bowl. You can see the film in the player below.
