Bryan Singer (X-Men and X2) was hooked on directing X-Men: First Class, the proposed sequel to the blockbuster trilogy. But according to Deadline New York's Mike Fleming, Singer's prior obligations on Jack the Giant Killer, has gotten in the way.
Jack the Giant Killer is a 3D version of the classic fairy tale for Warner Bros. Wow, they really are dimensionalizing everything known to man.
Fox has begun searching for a new director to take the helm to the fourth installment on the X-Men film franchise. The studio plans to try to get the film off the ground to be scheduled for a summer or fall 2011 release. This seems like a repeat of the previous X-Men film, X-Men: The Last Stand, when Singer was unable to helm because of his obligations to WB's Superman Returns.
