Will Smith has been pretty dormant ever since Seven Pounds, which premiered nearly a year and a half ago. But it seems that he has now figured out which projects he's going to pursue. Apparently, it's been narrowed down to two.
According to Variety, the actor will either do The City That Sailed or Men in Black 3. We all know that Men in Black 3 would be the same kind of sci-fi action/adventure that made the first two so popular. You can probably bet it'll be in 3D too.
Meanwhile, The City That Sailed is a fantasy adventure that's written by Andrew Niccol (The Truman Show and Gattaca). The story revolves around a New York street magician who is unhappily separated from his young daughter. The girl, who moves to London, finds magic candles that make her wishes comes true, with unintended consequences: The island of Manhattan separates from the continent and floats toward England, bringing her dad ever closer.
Neither Fox nor Sony could comment on the projects.
