After making rounds on the festival circuit last year, horror, sci-fi and Adrien Brody fans are all going to be happy when Splice comes to theaters on June 4th.

Brody stars with Sarah Polley as Clive and Elsa, two young rebellious scientists, defy legal and ethical boundaries and forge ahead with a dangerous experiment: splicing together human and animal DNA to create a new organism. Named "Dren", the creature rapidly develops from a deformed female infant into a beautiful but dangerous winged human-chimera, who forges a bond with both of her creators - only to have that bond turn deadly.

Sounds reminiscent of Species, yeah? Well, from the look of the trailer, Splice seems to be much darker in tone, and with the recent advancement in genetics experimenting recently, much scarier due to it's closer proximity to reality.
