After teasing us with quick clips of some less than impressive digital imagery in the last few trailers, Paramount has finally hit a home run with the third trailer for The Last Airbender. The new trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's latest venture sports some intimidatingly cool use of martial arts and CGI.

In the big screen adaptation of the Nickelodeon animated series, four nations (Air, Water, Earth, Fire) are tied by destiny when the Fire Nation launches a brutal war against the others. A century has passed with no hope in sight to change the path of this destruction. Caught between combat and courage, Aang (Noah Ringer) discovers he is the lone Avatar with the power to manipulate all four elements. Aang teams with Katara (Nicola Peltz), a Waterbender, and her brother, Sokka (Jackson Rathbone), to restore balance to their war-torn world.

The Last Airbender hits theaters on July 2, 2010.
