After a sighting of the Batmobile from Batman Forever in New York City last week, there was a lot of speculation as to who was playing the Caped Crusader in the film being shot on the Lower East Side. Well, we've found out! And it's... Russell Brand?
Well, by now you've realized that the film we're talking about isn't Batman 3, but Arthur, the remake of the 1981 comedy about a drunken playboy stands to lose a wealthy inheritance when he falls for a woman, his family doesn't like. The remake stars Russell Brand, Jennifer Garner, Greta Gerwig, Helen Mirren, Nick Nolte and, apparently Luis Guzman.
While Brand gets to wear the Bat-Suit from Batman and Robin (you know, the version with nipples?), Guzman has to squeeze his rotund body into a ridiculous Adam West-era Robin costume. Let's just say the results are far from pretty and really close to absolutely hilarious. We really hope this scene is one in which Brand and his chubby buddy are drunk!
Check out the pics below, and stay tuned for more on the upcoming remake of Arthur, scheduled to hit theaters sometime next year!
