Looks like Jessica Alba is ready to hot a trifecta with Robert Rodriguez. After having collaborated with the director on Sin City and the upcoming Machete, Alba will take a leading role in Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World.
Heat Vision is reporting that the new Spy Kids flick will be somewhat of a reboot, with Alba playing a retired spy who is reactivated, her character being the mother of a baby two preteen stepchildren. Different actors are expected to be cast as the new Spy Kids, taking over from Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara.
Alba and her yet-to-be-cast husband, "a slightly nerdy investigative reporter," will replace Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino as the super-spy parents, and a new villain is to be thrown into the mix, "known as the Time Keeper, whose goal it is to stop time." Banderas, Vega and Sabara are expected to return in supporting roles though.
Spy Kids 4 is set to start shooting next month.
