Edward Norton Wants Batman Role

by at . Comments

Ed Norton has been talking a lot about super hero movies lately, doing damage control on his Hulk situation, explaining he has nothing but good feelings towards The Avengers movie, and now expressing his desire to star in another comic book franchise- Christopher Nolan's reinvented Batman. Norton detailed his sentiments in an interview with IGN while doing press for his latest film, Stone.

"I think I said everything I want to say in the one thing I put out about that" Norton said of his passing of the Hulk torch to Mark Ruffalo. "It was a great privilege to do it, and I couldn't be more appreciative of everybody's support and positivity towards that because I love those films too. And I hate it when they miss. I hate it when they miss on one - it seems like such a wasted opportunity. But the truth is I'm probably more naturally interested in doing something that I haven't done. I have only good thoughts towards that though."
Norton says he isn't averse to acting in superhero movies again, even though Hulk may have been a less than ideal situation:
"Chris Nolan's making the best ones out there by far" he said. "I'd do one with him. He's set a new bar for sure, and I think he's done a great, great job."
When IGN asked whether he'd be up for taking on a villainous role in Batman 3, he responded, with typical Norton charm: "That would be fun, I would not say no to that."
But that wasn't enough for IGN, they went right to the heart of it, asking if he'd like to play The Riddler. Norton simply smiled and said, "Your guys can put their votes in on that."
What do you think? Would you want Edward Norton as the new Riddler?
