Shooting on Transformers 3 was suspended on Thursday due to an accident involving a car crash stunt on the East Chicago set. Gabriella Cedillo, a 24 year-old extra, who was in one of the cars, but not part of the stunt team, was struck in the head when a cable between two of the vehicles snapped. Cedillo was airlifted to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.
Another extra on the set reported that the cable sliced through the car and through Cedillo's head. The vehicle then smashed into the center divider on Cline Avenue and didn't stop for about a half mile.
