Not long ago, it was reported that Christopher Nolan would be shepherding Warner Bros.' new Superman project, and that his brother Jonah may sit in the directing chair, working from a script penned by David Goyer. As if that wasn't sweet enough, new rumors are pointing to a possible leading man to portray The Man of Steel... none other than Mad Men's Jon Hamm.
TMT reports that Warner Bros. is "seriously considering" Hamm to play Superman in their franchise reboot The Man of Steel. At 39, Hamm, who also appears in The Town starting this weekend, would definitely have to skip an origin story, but since we've already been given that multiple times, it's doubtful it would be re-hashed yet again. And let's be honest, wouldn't you rather see a more developed Superman story than one where we see him crash land and grow up yet again?
Keep in mind that this is all just speculation, but apparently it's speculation that Hamm himself didn't immediately rule out when it was suggested to him by MTV a while ago. What do you guys think? Could Don Draper do good by Clark Kent?
