Well, I guess it was too good to be true. Recently, it was reported that Mad Men's Jon Hamm was being considered for the illustrious role of Superman in the upcoming Christopher Nolan production The Man of Steel... alas, there was no truth to the rumor.
Hamm himself cleared the air on Live with Regis and Kelly yesterday while promoting The Town, saying “It’s sort of news to me. If that’s something that the powers that be are thinking about, I hope they get in touch with me. We can maybe discuss it.”
Well, let's hope the Nolans at least open a line of communication, as many fans would agree that Don Draper is a pretty good ringer for Clark Kent. Just goes to show you how much of what's out there is really vapor. With The Man of Steel to start production sometime next year, we should be hearing some truth soon.
