Paramount has released the first trailer for Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, and it looks... oddly compelling. Don't get me wrong, I'm not exactly a fan of the sixteen year-old pop sensation, but it seems the filmmakers have found an interesting take on their subject.
Of course, the trailer is heavily manipulative, using lots of footage of Baby Bieber developing his musical talents to become the younger generation's ultimate success story. Even Usher drops in to sing the Bieb's praises. But the question the film seems to be posing is: how do you become a superstar at sixteen and stay grounded? Whether that's actually touched on in the movie is hard to say, but it sure got me thinking. It also had me asking, "why the hell is this in 3-D?"
Check out the trailer below, see the film's poster in our Justin Bieber: Never Say Never pictures gallery and look for the film, needlessly in 3-D, on February 11, 2011.
